Cookies are short texts (letters and/or numbers) that enable the web server to store information on the client (browser) to be used again during the same website visit (session cookies) or later, including after many days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, depending on the user’s preferences, by a single browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).
Similar technologies, such as for example web beacon, transparent GIF and all the forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, are used to collect information on the user’s behaviour and on the use of services.
In this document, cookies and all similar technologies shall be referred to simply as “cookies”.

Visiting the website users may receive cookies from the visited website (“owned”), and from websites managed by other organisations (“third parties”). A meaningful example is the presence of “social plug-ins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. They are parts of the visited page generated directly by the above mentioned websites and integrated on the page of the host site. The most common use of social plug-ins is to facilitate the sharing of social network content. The presence of these plug-ins means that cookies are transmitted from and to all sites managed by third parties. The montana-gmbh.de website does not use these cookies.
The montana-gmbh.de website includes also some components transmitted by Google Analytics, a service tracking the web traffic provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Also in this case they are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the hosted website (performance cookie). This website does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google analysis tool to monitor or collect identifier personal data. Google does not associate the IP address to any other data held by Google and it does not try to associate any IP address to the identity of a computer user. Google may also communicate these data to third parties where so required by the applicable law or where such third parties process these data on Google’s behalf. for further information, click on the following link: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/. Users can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing on their browser the opt-out add-on provided by Google. Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the user has logged out. Other cookies “survive” after the browser is closed and remain available during following visits by the user. These are called persistent cookies and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases an expiry time is set, in other cases duration is unlimited. montana-gmbh.de does not use persistent cookies.
Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies through the settings of their browsers. Attention: disabling technical cookies totally or partially may jeopardise the use of functions of the website reserved to registered users. Differently, the usability of public content is possible also by disabling cookies completely.
Disabling third-party cookies does not jeopardise browsing in any way.
The setting can be defined specifically for the different websites and applications. Furthermore, the best browsers enable different settings for owned cookies and third-party ones. For example in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options ->Privacy, it is possible to access a control panel where you can define the different types of cookies to accept or not, and remove them.
